	FAQ: SELLING PROPERTY Does the HPD assist in selling property? Does the HPD have list of properties for sale? I am purchasing a claimed property, may I request HPD to evict the current occupant? Can I purchase a property which is under HPD-administration? Does the HPD assist in selling property? No, the HPD does not operate as a real estate agent. Does the HPD have a list of properties for sale? No. I am purchasing a claimed property, may I request HPD to evict the current occupant? No, if you have purchased the property after 24 March 1999, the HPD has no jurisdiction to deal with claims arising over your property. You should address the issue to the Municipal Court. Potential purchasers should be aware of Section 5.2 of UNMIK Regulation 2000/60, which states that, until a HPD-claim is resolved, sales of many properties are illegal. Can I purchase a property under HPD-administration? Yes, but the buyer should be aware that for properties under HPD-administration, the right of possession is suspended in line with Section 12.3 of UNMIK Regulation 2000/60. A sale of the property does not change this. Termination of the administration and return of the possession right is possible only when following the procedures laid down in Section 12 of the Regulation.
